| SACO MEMBER BURSARY | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

ELIGIBILITY: SACO Members (Regular, Lifetime, Honorary, and Associate) in good standing (last years dues paid at 2005 Convention) their spouses, and dependents are eligible to apply for the annual bursary of $500.00. To be eligible the applicants must be a student at a recognized post-secondary institution and have completed at least one (1) year of studies. APPLICATIONS: Applications for the SACO Bursary will be available after May 30/2005 and will be accepted by the Awards Chairperson up until the deadline of midnight August 15/2005. Applications will only be accepted on the form provided by SACO and the Awards Chairperson. Please ensure the application is filled out completely. Incomplete applications will be rejected. CRITERIA: Labour Service Officer who have applied for the Murray Doell, or the Art Haugen Memorial Scholarship are not eligible. Applications will be reviewed and awarded in the following order:
Selection committee will consist of the Vice-president, Awards Chairperson, Public Relations Chair, and Secretary. In the event of a dispute the Awards Chairperson will have the final decision. If there is a conflict of interest among the committee, the member in conflict shall be replaced by another member of the SACO Executive. All applications will be kept confidential and reviewed only by committee members. The Bursary will be awarded prior to September 1, 2005. Only the successful applicant will be contacted.
